Reorganization of MDstaffers

Reading Time: 2 minutes

For immediate release: MDstaffers LLC has reorganized into Acqhire, Inc. a Texas Corporation. The companies will continue to do business as MDstaffers with its corporate headquarters in Berkeley California. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed; however, the founder and CEO of MDstaffers, Jacob Horn, stated “Joining Acqhire gives MDstaffers access to the capital, platform, and the additional leadership to better serve our clients and to expand our job offerings for candidates to a national level.” Horn will be the Vice President of Recruiting for the new company and already has seven additional staff to help fuel the expansion.

MDstaffers has discontinued its short-lived strategic teaming agreement with Response 1 Medical Staffing. According to Horn, “the primary reason for teaming with Response 1 was to leverage the platform and operational management of the company. However, with Response 1 in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and its leadership team turnover, the teaming agreement was aborted.”

The deal bringing MDstaffers and Acqhire together was initiated and constructed by the Principals at Exigo Ventures, Inc.—a leading merger and acquisition consultancy for the staffing industry. Exigo Managing Director, Eric Allison stated “The deal made perfect sense for both companies. Acqhire is on a spree to roll-up smaller companies with specialized talent and services. MDstaffers was looking for an efficient and seamless operational platform—one that is fully integrated with all major candidate sites, job boards, and vendor management systems; has the ability for national advertising, branding, and exposure; and with the capital and resources to help manage and fuel rapid growth. It is a home run for locum tenens and healthcare facilities to have a new powerhouse partner they can rely upon.”

MDstaffers specializes in the permanent and temporary of placement of physicians in hospitals and clinics nationally. The organization has offices and staff in Berkeley, Sacramento, and San Diego, California; Fort Worth, Texas; and Manila, Philippines. Short-term plans for expansion include additional offices in Southern California, Washington, and Florida.
