MDstaffers – 450 Percent Overall Growth in 2017, and 2018 off to another Hot Start

MDstaffers finished 2017 with growth of 450 percent in overall placements and revenues for the year – with growth coming from nearly every business line and geographic region. Most of MDstaffers growth occurred in the 2nd half of 2017 and the first two months of 2018 have the firm poised for significant growth again.

According to American Staffing Association statistics, MDstaffers revenues rank it in the top six percent of all staffing companies nationally. Its growth and market presence have not gone unrecognized with MDstaffers executives reporting frequent contacts from brokers and organizations interested in investing in, merging with, or acquiring the privately held company. However, the company remains committed to its vision of creating significant value through its use of technology and its fully electronic processes – which minimize costs and bureaucracy, while increasing efficiency and quality in the hiring process.

MDstaffers mix of placements remained consistent with locums revenues and placements increasing a whopping 700 percent, while permanent placements grew a more modest 40 percent in 2017. Revenues for the first two months of 2018 are 600 percent higher than the same period in 2017 and have the company poised to more than double in size in 2018 – even if no additional growth is achieved. However, given its history and momentum, status quo is unlikely and the hyper-growth is expected to continue.

Matt Corsaut serves as chief legal officer and provides regulatory oversight, guidance, and direction regarding all legal and compliance matters arising within MDstaffers. Matt was admitted to the State of California Bar in 2003 and has worked in general business, insurance defense, and real estate law. 

In addition to serving as chief legal officer at MDstaffers, Matt serves as Judge Pro Tem in the Superior Court. He also owns and operates a law firm, serves as Of Counsel to various law firms throughout Northern and Southern California, and serves as Panel Counsel to one of the largest risk management and insurance services companies in California. He is also a licensed real estate broker and owner of a real estate brokerage.

Connie Sweet

Connie Sweet serves as MDstaffers’ Vice President of Recruiting.  A natural leader with passion for developing winning teams, Connie is responsible for the leadership and development of MDstaffers recruiting divisions. Connie is a seasoned industry professional with more than 30 years of experience in the staffing and recruitment industry, she leads by example with her straight-forward, purposeful approach. Connie joins the team from Key Personnel Placement, established in 1988 in Sacramento, California where she staffed across a multitude of industries. Having placed more than 12,000 people into new positions over her career, she has developed a keen ability to understand clients’ needs and candidates’ career ambitions.

Dr. Dan Field, MD, FACEP

Chief Medical Officer

About Dr. Field

Dr. Dan Field is the chief medical officer for MDstaffers, the 49th fastest-growing company in the United States.

Dr. Field is responsible for overseeing all clinical staff operations and quality assurance for MDstaffers. He provides clinical leadership to MDstaffers’ contract staff and assists in creating innovative staffing models to help healthcare facilities achieve optimal physician staffing levels while also upholding the highest quality standards in the ever-present physician shortage. Dr. Field is an emergency physician by training and has practiced emergency medicine for more than 30 years. Dr. Field is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and maintains an active clinical practice.

Dr. Field is an instructor at the California Northstate University College of Medicine after previously serving as clinical faculty at U.C. Davis for 25 years. Dr. Field serves the California Medical Board as an expert reviewer/consultant and provided medical expertise to the Sacramento County Sheriff SED/SWAT team as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff.

Dr. Field received his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco, completed an internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland and residency at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Field has an active California medical license. He has experience practicing in resource-rich, urban hospitals as well as under-served, rural, critical-access facilities. Dr. Field also has extensive experience in telemedicine and telehealth staffing.

Dr. Field has served as an expert witness for cases involving personal injury, criminal law, standard of care, and malpractice. He has also been a featured speaker, panelist, media physician, and talk show guest.
